Over the years Orion has developed modular and customised outfitting for ambulances dedicated to emergencies and rescue services, using special nautical fibreglass structures that guarantee high quality, resistance and sanitization of the interiors.
Orion’s solutions for the healthcare sector are dependant on the customers’ requirements and the outfitting can be personalised with continuous innovations, thanks to regular updates provided by the Tuscan company’s research and development offices. The innovations to improve the work of the medical responders are decided together with the users of the vehicle. It all started with the DOMINO outfitting, a resounding success that in just a few years has become the reference outfitting in the sector, thanks to its original modular system that guarantees the ergonomic and dedicated positioning of the spaces and the instruments. Any requirements or requests from the customer can be resolved. The main fibreglass structure is made up of various elements that can be assembled according to your particular needs, while still respecting the European standards and the importance of safety, a detail that is never neglected in Orion outfittings.
How are the Orion Domino ambulances created?
The Domino ambulance project comes from an important scientific study carried out by Orion in collaboration with the University of Florence. The key factors for creating an emergency vehicle were really important: Orion wanted to construct a product with innovative characteristics of safety, ergonomics, design and customisation.
Domino is not, therefore, a simple outfitting, but an infinite series of solutions applicable inside the ambulance to satisfy the wide range of needs that the emergency services require of the responders.
The integral shell representing the main structure of Domino is personalised with a series of furnishings chosen by the customer: by modifying the composition of furnishings, a great variety of combinations can be achieved that respond to the needs of the operators of the sector and always represent a high level reference as regards safety and comfort.
All the shell elements and the furnishings manufactured by Orion are made of variable thickness nautical fibreglass, the structural reinforcements are designed to offer maximum stability, the “CAN-BUS MOSFET” technology electrical system offers great reliability and intuitive everyday use.
Quadra ambulances: functionality and practicality
Quadra System is the ideal solution for those looking for a functional and essential outfitting. With only 4 fibreglass parts, Quadra includes all the necessary furniture for stowage of equipment and first aid kits.
The cladding components are made of nautical fibreglass with variable thickness. The structural reinforcements are designed to offer maximum stability and protection, the “CAN BUS MOSFET” technology electric system is extremely reliable and easy to use. The air and conditioning distribution system are integrated in the ceiling, beside the solid longitudinal handle, along with an efficient LED lighting system.
The storage compartments are closed with intersecting doors made of shatterproof safety glass. Finally the large flat surface houses all the electro-medical devices necessary for the emergency work alongside the emergency services.
The self-levelling floor rests on medium density plywood, and is also brushed on the lower perimeter of the vertical walls. This makes it possible to eliminate the problem of liquid infiltration under the decking and guarantees duration and durability of the ambulance in time.
The standard configuration of Quadra contains all the main emergency equipment and can be supplemented by numerous accessories devised by ORION to achieve the maximum quality standard. Indeed, Quadra can be fitted out with the exclusive Luxor spoiler, central oxygen tanks compartment and communication port between the patient area and the cabin, energy system, additional cabinets, cushioned stretcher support or specific electro-medical devices for medical assistance on board can be integrated.
Finally, Quadra can be customised with a wide range of colours, at no additional cost. For those who are attentive to the constant safety of the responders, Quadra is also available in the Pure Health sanitization version.
